British Baker and Meat Trades Journal, owned by William Reed Business Media (WRBM), are market-leading brands that focus on delivering the best information in print, on-line and face-to-face to their respective communities. The brands continue to evolve their market offer to ensure it matches market need, suppliers continue to maximise return on investment, and all face-to- face activities deliver full value for time out of the business.

Today's independent retail bakery and butchery businesses have told us that they want one annual and effective national exhibition focus and a one-stop shop to source new products, forge new industry contacts and discover the latest trends. They want craft focus but they also want to widen their view and potential offer in tandem with consumer demand. WRBM plans to meet that demand by merging the Bakers' and Butchers' Fairs content offer into its established Farm Shop and Deli Exhibition and expand the 2015 show which runs April 20-22 at the NEC, Birmingham.

The move will ensure exhibitors maximise their exposure to a wider audience of specialist retail businesses and give visitors a packed day of activities.

Thank you to all our exhibitors, visitors and speakers who attended the Autumn Fair at Newark Showground, Nottinghamshire on Sunday 12 October.

The event attracted hundreds of visitors from across the UK who were looking for new products, ideas and business boosting initiatives - as well as a chance to network with fellow colleagues.

Visitors met a range of exhibitors from across the industry who were showcasing new and existing products and services. >> See the full list of exhibitors.

Throughout the day visitors also picked up tips and advice from the centre stage, sponsored by the Dalesman Group, who also presented a demonstration on its new range of sauces. Among those sharing their industry knowledge with the crowd were Christopher Foxall of The Village Bakery, who spoke about the need for innovation in bakery and Stephen Hallam of Dickinson & Morris who gave a demonstration on what makes an authentic Melton Mowbray pork pie.

The Fair also played host to three competitions, Britain's Best Loaf, Champion of Champions and the National Pie Competition with celebrity guest Keith Chegwin taking to the stage to present the winners with their trophies while providing some light entertainment for visitors.
